Here’s a great stitch pattern for scarves, shawls and wraps, dishcloths–lots of things! It looks intricate but is deceptively easy to do with only one row repeat. You have to pay attention setting up the first row, but after that it’s smooth sailing all the way. Give it a try! The swatch is made with 35 chains to start, and it’s the perfect width for a scarf in worsted-weight yarn.
V’s and Blocks Stitch Pattern

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next dc, * ch 3, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 sp **, V-stitch in ch-1 sp of next V-stitch; repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, dc in last 2 sts, turn.

I really like this pattern but wondering how much yarn is needed.
