Thanks for the pattern, Carolyn, and for the mention of the Pink Slipper Project. This will be a great pattern for our members to use for making slippers for women and children living in domestic abuse shelters around the US. Besides the link to the blog (which you so nicely provided), we can also be found on Facebook! (Our blog is still under a little construction!) Thanks again for the mention. It means a lot to us!

Hi. Can you please tell me what size foot this pattern is for. Thanks
Carolyn says
Hi Stacey, thanks for your comment. This pattern is written for all foot lengths. The instructions say to make the slipper the number of inches long as size desired–for example, 8 inches for size 8, then work the final row.

Hi, I woul’d like to know what size of yarn do you use to make these slippers? I tried 4 medium but the slipper have a too large circumference and no pointed toes. I use size 5 crochet hook. Doesn’t look like the photo at all. Thank you for your help.

p.s. Sorry for my bas English 🙂

Hi Francine, I used weight category 4 medium yarn to make the slippers. The exact brand was Bernat Super Value. However it does sound like you might want to try with a smaller hook. It sounds to me like your gauge is probably too large. To get a smaller circumference, you can either try a smaller hook or make fewer stitches in round 4. Also, just FYI, the green shoes in the photo have the extra round repeating round 4. As far as the pointed toes, with my gauge, making 12 stitches in the beginning round caused it to cup a little hence the more pointy looking toes. This might not be the case with yours. As you can see in the photos only the green ones cupped in this way, not the orange ones and it was the exact same yarn. Either way, the pointy toes do stretch out and become flat once the shoes are on the foot. I hope this is helpful! Best wishes on your slippers. — Carolyn

I just made a pair of these and I love, love, love them!!! I used a thicker, soft yarn and a size I hook, so they came out just a little bigger than they were supposed to. I weaved yarn around the opening and tied it in a ribbon at the front so they’d stay on a little better. So cute!!! I plan to make many more of these! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
