Crossed Stitch Crochet Dishcloth
Size 9” square
Materials To make two dishcloths, about 100 yds. (92 m) each pink and cream 100% cotton worsted-weight yarn H (5.00mm) hook
Gauge Gauge is not critical. Use hook size to achieve a nice drape.
Instructions
Row 1: With main color, ch 28, dc in fourth ch from hook (ch 3 at end of row counts as dc), dc in each st across, turn. (26)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 sts, (skip next st, dc in next st, dc in skipped st) across to within 3 sts of end of row, dc in last 3 sts, turn.
Rows 3-12 : Repeat row 2.
Row 13: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Do not fasten off.
Border Rnd 1: Working down side, ch 1, 2 sc in end of each row across, ch 2, sc in each st across end, ch 2, 2 sc in end of each row up remaining side, ch 2, sc in each st across, ch 2, join with sl st in first sc. (26 sts on each side) Fasten off.
Rnd 2: Join contrasting color with sc in any corner, ch 2, sc in same corner, sc in each st around with (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner, join. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Repeat rnd 2 with main color. Fasten off.
