Crochet this charming little bluebird to hang in a window and he’ll bring you a smile every day!
Bluebird of Happiness
Size
6” long
Materials
Small amount 100% cotton worsted-weight yarn
G (4.00mm) hook
½”-5/8” decorative button
Scrap of narrow satin ribbon to go around bird’s neck
Desired length of narrow ribbon to hang bird
Gauge
Gauge is not critical. Stitches should be tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through.
Note
Instead of decreasing as usual with sc 2 sts together, you may wish to use the invisible sc decrease. To make this decrease, insert hook in front lp only of next st; now swing hook down and insert hook in front lp only of next st (3 lps on hook). Yo, pull through all lps on hook.

I love these, and I’m working on one right now. There’s a correction to Rnd 23: … (sc next 2 sts together) 2 times, sc in next st. (22)
“together” is missing.
I’ll send you a photo when I get mine finished. I think I’m going to make wings, add eyes and crochet a little flower for the top of her head.

I love that this bird is beautiful as is, and that they can be customized however the crocheter wishes. This is a great pattern, Carolyn! Thanks so much!
