Variations on a Theme block arrangement

My blanket is made with 18 large squares and 12 rectangles in this arrangement.

This blanket is called “Variations on a Theme” because as I worked on stitch swatches, I found myself wanting to create many variations of one basic stitch pattern just to see how far it could go. It’s a stitch sampler blanket using many of these patterns.

Here are all the CAL posts:

Variations on a Theme Block Arrangement

We’ll crochet a final round around each block and join everything together. My colors are all scrappy, but I’ll be doing the final joining round in red. Thennnn, we’ll add a pretty border!

  1. Woo-hoo! Lovin' this project! I'm doing mine in shades of turquoise, brown and khaki. Still behind, but hoping to catch up this weekend.

    Thank you again, Carolyn!
