Here’s a pretty and easy-to-do stitch pattern that’s perfect for scarves and all kinds of crochet projects. The two-row repeat creates lovely offset shells with a bit of texture.
3-Dc Shell Stitch Pattern
Instructions
Row 1: Ch multiple of 4 ch, dc in fourth ch from hook (ch-3 at end of row counts as dc), skip next ch, sc in next ch, (skip next ch, 3 dc in next ch, skip next ch, sc in next ch) across to last 2 ch, skip next ch, 2 dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc, (skip next dc, sc in next dc, skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc) across to last 2 sts, skip next dc, sc in top of turning ch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st, skip next dc, sc in next dc, (skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc, skip next dc, sc in next dc) across to last two sts, skip next dc, 2 dc in last sc, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for pattern.
